Traveler - New Album
Cinematic, ambient and experimental
Traveler is a 10-piece instrumental album. I played only one instrument per song. Everything inspired by bus, train and walking trips a took over the months of December 2023 and January 2024. Most of them are one take recordings since I wanted to capture the essence and “spontaneousness” of each moment I was experiencing or remembering about. Some of them where improvised and recorded at the same time.
There is minimalism, ambient, experimental and cinematic pieces with synths, keys, piano and even a clavinet sound, processed with minimal tools in real time. The idea came to me while I was on a train from Downtown Miami to South Miami and on a bus from North Miami to South Beach. I started hearing this melodies and patterns when I was at different places so is a very cinematic album. In some way this is the soundtrack of those moments. I don’t carry music when I’m riding public transportation, I like to make my own in my mind and experience the ambiance, people, places and sounds. I hope you like it.
